Hey hey hey!!
So, I joined a new challenge group and I am a little bit behind. They started on Monday, and I am starting on Thursday. Hopefully I can get caught-up by next week so I can be on track. This program has that kind of flexibility, thankfully! Workout 4 days, rest 3 (and one of those 3 can be a healthy cheat day!).
So, day 1. Chest and triceps. Lifting for half of the workout, HIIT workout for half of the workout, then a core round.
Phew! This one felt so good. I have strength and endurance built up since I completed 80 Day Obsession, but this workout is not an easy one! I love how this is set because once your arms are just DONE and are about ready to fall off, you go into the HIIT portion and tire out the rest of your body! Basically, you do two exercises in three different sets, three times each. (ie: 1,2,1,2,1,2 3,4,3,4,3,4 5,6,5,6,5,6) Then we HIIT! I loved these moves. They were challenging, but once I finished, I felt so good.
Sidenote – once I started 80 Day Obsession, I could barely finish the cardio rounds. I absolutely loathed them. But now? If I want a quick workout, I will choose a cardio workout 80% of the time. If you would have told me that six months ago, I would’ve totally laughed in your face!!!!! But remember this – YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS! If it was easy, everybody would do it! Once you put your mind to it, don’t give up. Don’t give into the negative thoughts. When your muscles burn? That. Is. A. Good. Thing. Change does not happen overnight. We live in an instant gratification time, but you need to work at it.
Okay…I’ll get off the pedestal now.
Anyways, day 1 felt great. It was a total success. Now it’s time for me to get the kids ready for bed.
Tell me, what are your aspirations? It can be health related, general goals for yourself, your family, spiritual, you name it!
